Hi everyone,
So many of you have told us you want to stay involved in what happens in Mauritius. You have been telling us this from the start: in the survey we launched in November 2025, in the first gathering that followed in January, in our live online events and on social media.
That is why we built Bridge Moris.
Today we are proud to launch the Bridge Moris Diaspora Talent Platform, in partnership with CIEL Group, one of Mauritius’ leading groups.
A tremendous amount of work went into figuring out how expertise can move between the diaspora and Mauritius, where to start, and who to build with. We have been steadily building our partnership with CIEL Group since 2025, and we could not have wished for a better partner to work and build with during this first year of operations. For a group of their size and scale, their team members bring real warmth and true generosity of spirit to the work. They believe, as we do, that the diaspora should be able to contribute to and engage with the island.
Two ways to contribute
The platform opens with two tracks:
- The Flexible Engagement Track is for contributing without leaving where you are. Think of advisory engagements, short missions, workshops, training and mentoring, delivered remotely or on short visits.
- The Repatriation Track is for those looking to move back. Full-time roles with organisations in Mauritius, published as they open.
Over the coming months we will be working closely with CIEL Group to identify where diaspora expertise makes the most difference, and will bring you opportunities to engage as they take shape. The foundations built with CIEL Group during this pilot year are intended to open the same opportunities to other Mauritian organisations over time.
