Welcome to Bridge Contributions, our new publication covering the Bridge Moris Diaspora Talent Platform. You are receiving it because you are part of the Bridge Moris community.
Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well! Today we’re thrilled to be presenting a job opportunity based in Mauritius, as well as four of our platform’s Founding Diaspora Contributors, who joined our Diaspora Talent Platform pre-launch.
Opportunities
Talent Manager at Bridge Moris
It is somewhat hilarious that we're opening our job opportunities section with a job of our own, but hey – we’re recruiting! Bridge Moris is looking for a third person to join our small but mighty team – specifically, a Talent Manager.
Our Talent Manager will own the repatriation track end-to-end, supporting diaspora members ready to come home full time and placing them into senior roles with our partners in Mauritius. In a nutshell, this means understanding our clients’ needs, mapping and reaching the right people across the diaspora, running assessments, interviews, and drafting profile recommendations. You will also support the Flexible Engagement Track (our programme that enables diaspora members to contribute their skills from afar without relocating in the form of advisory work, short missions and remote contributions), scoping engagements and matching contributors alongside Bridge Moris’ founders.
More details here. Apply by September 18.
Keep an eye out for our next Bridge Contributions for more opportunities coming your way.
Founding Diaspora Contributors
Our Founding Diaspora Contributors comprise twenty highly-skilled individuals of different backgrounds and expertise, who are all looking to engage with Mauritian entities through our Flexible Engagement Track, and who have already joined the Bridge Moris Diaspora Talent Platform. We’ll be announcing them in groups across the next three newsletters to come.
In this edition of the Bulletin, we'd like to share our Founding Diaspora Contributors building the future: people whose instinct is to advise, create, and shape what our island could look like. We're so honoured to be presenting them to you today. Meet Anekha, Bernard, Darshini and Sabrina.

Anekha Sokhal spent seven years as a derivatives trader at J.P. Morgan before a UK–US Fulbright took her to Rice University and into machine learning, where she built systems used by NASA. She is now Founder & CEO of Moshi, a venture-backed AI company building tools for institutional traders. Her conviction is that ambitious Mauritian companies should have access to the same frontier AI — and they need founders, not just consultants, to help deploy it.
Bernard Boodeea, working from Dubai, has delivered enterprise technology for Visa, Telstra and Commonwealth Bank across a twenty-year career, and now builds AI-powered products through his own Life Intelligence Group. He wants Mauritius to claim a sovereign place on the global AI map.
Darshini Manraj Waibel, a lawyer and economist who has had an impactful career at the World Bank, UBS and the UK government, now runs Greenpertise, a sustainability talent ecosystem, from Vienna. She wants to build lasting innovation bridges between Mauritius and Europe.
Sabrina Gooriah is a software engineer at Qonto in Paris with a background in growth strategy across the European tech ecosystem. She co-created Island Pieces, a Mauritian diasporic podcast and newsletter on race, gender, class and caste, and writes The Brown Self on identity between France and Mauritius. Her dream is community-rooted learning spaces that reach the young people the formal system tends to miss.
